Welcome to my personal website. I am a cognitive psychologist interested in education, learning, memory, and instructional design. I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at Utrecht University.

Heeft u interesse om met uw leerlingen deel te nemen aan onderzoek naar leerstrategie├źn? Dan kunt u vrijblijvend dit formulier invullen. We nemen contact met u op als een studie gepland wordt die aansluit op uw interesses, leerlingen en doeltaal. N.B. Op dit moment zijn er meerdere studies in voorbereiding waarvoor we in het bijzonder op zoek zijn naar docenten Engels en Frans, die lesgeven aan leerlingen met een leeftijd van 12 tot 16 jaar.

20-06-2018 Graduation week! Very proud to see nine of my students graduate as Bachelor or Master in educational sciences.

11-05-2018 Presentation about "Effects Of Repeated Word Retrieval On The Use Of Keyword Mediators During Recall" at International meeting of Psychonomic Society, together with Mirte Dikmans.

15-03-2018 A new open access paper has been published about the surprising effects of contextual information on word retention. Sometimes thinking hard instead of guessing from context works better.

09-11-2017: In the November edition of Didactief (or here), you can read an article that I wrote about the Euregioschule in Kranenburg, where Dutch and German children learn together. The article is in Dutch.
